Website Terms of Use

Applies to individuals who register and use the Homeygo.ai cost calculator. Version 1.0 Last updated: 12th July 2026

1. About these terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Homeygo.ai website and cost calculator (the "Platform"), operated by The Junior Scholars Pty Ltd ABN 65 664 348 752 trading as Homeygo.ai (“Homeygo”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By registering for, accessing or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes to the Platform, law, business operations or security requirements. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, such as by displaying a notice on the Platform or emailing registered users. The updated Terms will apply from the date stated in the notice or, if no date is stated, from the date they are published. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you should stop using the Platform.

2. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18 years of age and capable of forming a legally binding contract to register.

You register by providing your name, email address and mobile number, and verifying your email using a one-time code. You agree that the details you provide are true, current and complete.

You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account. Do not share your access with others, and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your authorisation.

We may suspend or close your account if you breach these Terms or use the Platform in a way that is unlawful, harmful, or detrimental to us or other users.

3. What the Platform is — and is not

The Platform provides indicative, automated construction cost estimates based on the information you enter and on general Australian residential building data. Estimates are for general information and early planning only.

An estimate is NOT a quote, a fixed price, a contract, a valuation, or professional advice of any kind.

Actual construction costs vary significantly with site conditions, materials, finishes, market rates, council and regulatory requirements, and each builder's own pricing.

Council planning figures, fees, rates and rules referred to in the Platform or by the AI assistant are general and may be out of date or inapplicable to your specific property. Always confirm current figures directly with the relevant council or authority.

You must obtain formal written quotes and appropriate professional, legal and financial advice before making any financial commitment or entering any building contract.

Estimates are generated at the time you use the Platform and may become outdated quickly due to changes in labour costs, material prices, site conditions, interest rates, builder availability, council requirements, regulatory requirements and market conditions.

4. The AI assistant

The Platform includes an AI assistant that answers general questions about home building in Australia. Its responses are generated automatically, are general in nature, and may be incomplete or inaccurate. Do not rely on them as professional, legal, financial or engineering advice. The information-quality disclaimers in section 3 apply equally to the AI assistant.

The AI assistant should not be used for urgent, safety-critical, structural, legal, financial or compliance decisions. You should seek advice from an appropriately qualified professional before relying on any information for your project.

5. Builders introduced through the Platform

The Platform may show you builders and allow you to request a quote or register interest. Homeygo is an introduction platform only.

Builders shown as "Verified Homeygo Builders" have registered with us and had certain business details checked. Verification is limited and does not guarantee a builder’s licensing, quality, conduct, solvency, or suitability for your project.

Builders shown as "Recommended Local Builders" are third-party businesses that are not registered with Homeygo, shown for your convenience. We do not endorse them and have no relationship with them.

Any contract you enter with a builder is solely between you and that builder. Homeygo is not a party to it, is not your agent or the builder’s agent, and is not responsible for the builder’s work, pricing, conduct, delays, or any dispute between you and the builder.

You should independently verify any builder’s licence, insurance, references and reviews, and satisfy yourself before engaging them.

For projects in New South Wales, you should check the builder’s licence using the official NSW builder or tradesperson licence check before engaging them.

Homeygo does not carry out building work, supervise building work, prepare building contracts, inspect building work, certify building work, or provide building, engineering, architectural, legal or financial advice.

The Platform is currently provided to customers free of charge. Homeygo may receive referral fees, commission, subscription fees or other commercial benefits from builders or third parties. This does not increase the price payable by you to Homeygo for using the calculator, unless we clearly tell you otherwise before you use a paid feature.

6. How we handle your information

We collect and handle personal information, including your name, contact details, account details and the project details you enter, in accordance with our Privacy Policy and, where applicable, the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

When you request a quote, register interest, download an estimate, or ask to be contacted by a builder through the Platform, you authorise Homeygo to share your name, contact details, property/project details and estimate information with the relevant builder or service provider so they can contact you about your enquiry. You acknowledge that once your information is shared with that builder or service provider, their own privacy practices and communications may also apply.

We do not sell your personal information. We may use de-identified and aggregated data to improve the Platform.

You may stop using the Platform at any time. You may request closure of your account by contacting us. We may retain certain records where required for legal, business, security, dispute-resolution or audit purposes, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

7. Your responsibilities

Use the Platform only for lawful purposes and only for your own genuine building-cost enquiries.

Do not attempt to interfere with, probe, scrape, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the Platform or its systems.

Do not submit false information, impersonate another person, or use another person’s details without permission.

Do not use the Platform to harass, abuse or harm any builder or other person.

8. Intellectual property

The Platform, including its design, text, calculator logic, and branding, is owned by Homeygo or its licensors and is protected by law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use the Platform for its intended purpose. You may keep and share the PDF estimate we generate for your own building project. You must not copy, reproduce, or commercially exploit any other part of the Platform without our written permission.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) that cannot lawfully be excluded (“non-excludable rights”).

Subject to your non-excludable rights, the Platform and all estimates and content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including as to accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose.

Subject to your non-excludable rights, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, Homeygo is not liable for loss, cost, damage or expense arising from matters outside our reasonable control, your reliance on indicative estimates or AI-generated information, incomplete or inaccurate information provided by you, or your dealings with builders or third parties.

Where our liability cannot be wholly excluded but can be limited, our total liability to you is limited, to the extent permitted by law, to the amount you paid us to use the Platform (which for most users is nil) or, at our option, to re-supplying the relevant service.

10. Suspension, changes and availability

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Platform from time to time, including for maintenance, security, legal, operational or business reasons. Where reasonably practicable, we will provide notice of material changes. We do not guarantee the Platform will be available, uninterrupted or error-free.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales, Australia.

12. Complaints and Contact

If you have a question or complaint about the Platform, please contact us at hello@homeygo.ai and provide enough information for us to understand the issue. We will try to respond within a reasonable time. If your complaint relates to a builder’s quote, conduct, pricing, contract, delay or building work, you acknowledge that the matter may need to be raised directly with the builder or the relevant regulator.
